Easter Sunday Snow

It isn't the first time we've had snow on Easter Sunday since we've lived up in the mountains, but it still surprises me a little to see all the snow piling up after the first official day of spring. I guess I should know better, living at an elevation of 3200 feet. This evening, when we came up the hill to go home, there was a mandatory chain requirement on all vehicles. My sweet husband got out to chain up, with the wind blowing snow all over him, and didn't complain about the process even though it's slightly frustrating to put chains on when we're only two miles from home. After we got the chains on to climb the final grade, we passed not one or two, but FIVE vehicles stuck in the snow. It made us very thankful that we had taken the time to chain up!

Other reasons I am thankful tonight:

-Because Christ the Lord is risen, we have hope!
-The grace of God always continues on...
-Friends who demonstrate trusting the Lord even though they are struggling
-The safe arrival of our friends' new son
-Family who loves me
-God's provision and guidance

Happy Easter, everyone!
