Impromtu Christmas Party
We attend a little tiny church up in the hills. On a good Sunday, attendance is around 25-30 people. Every year, we look forward to our Christmas program, usually held in the evening a few weeks before the 25th. There are special music numbers, congregational singing, a live nativity, candle lighting, and of course food and fellowship. Well, this annual event was supposed to take place last night. But, sadly, it got cancelled due to a snowstorm. So, our friends the Ahrens had some people over for an impromtu Christmas party. We had a wonderful time celebrating the Christmas season with our closest friends, even though there was disappointment over the program being cancelled. I am so thankful for this group of friends - - for the grace they show us, for our like-mindedness, for loving us in our strengths and weaknesses. They are wonderful, and I am blessed by God to have them in my life.
